James qualified from Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ in London before completing a Master’s degree in Oral Surgery, a Diploma in Implantology and a Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. He also holds Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
His clinical practice encompasses surgical implant treatment, sinus augmentation and bone grafting using both particulate and block graft techniques. He has a particular interest in helping patients whose treatment is complicated by limited bone volume, challenging anatomy or previous dental and implant treatment failure. His combined surgical and restorative background informs his approach from the outset, with careful consideration of the long-term function, appearance and maintenance of the final treatment.
James has pursued further training internationally, including implant surgery at Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston and advanced surgical courses in Warsaw and Budapest. His postgraduate education has also involved full-arch implant rehabilitation, advanced bone regeneration and complex implant case planning with a particular interest in digitally guided surgery.
